The Vande Bharat Express, formerly Train 18, is currently India fasted train. The train achieved a maximum speed of 180 km/h during testing. Vande Bharat trains run at average rates between 64 kmph and 95 kmph. The first Vande Bharat Express train ran between New Delhi and Varanasi on February 15 2019.
According to the media reports, the new Vande Bharat Express, expected to run before April 26, 2023, will connect Ranchi (Jharkhand) and Patna (Bihar). This will be the first semi-high-speed train for Bihar and Jharkhand after waiting for long years. Like most Vande Bharat Trains, the Patna Ranchi Vande Bharat train will also run six days a week.

Patna to Ranchi is one of the busiest railway routes in India. The distance between Patna and Ranch is 405 kilometres by train. Currently, the average running time of any train is around 8 to 10 hours. There are thousands of people every day from travel from Patna to Ranchi. Patna Ranchi Vande Bharat Express train route consists of some major railway stations: Jehnabad, Gaya Junction, Koderma, Hazaribag, Parasnath, Gomo and Bokaro. This train will connect two state capitols and around eight districts.

Vande Bharat train will embark on its journey from Ranchi at 7:30 am and reach the destination, Patna, at 1:45 pm on the same day. From Patna, the Vande Bharat express will leave the station at 3:30 pm and reach Ranchi station at 10.15 pm on the same day.

Railway officials have not announced Ranchi Patna Vande Bharat express train fare. According to sources, the Ranchi Patna Vande Bharat express train will cost around 1200 rupees for a single journey in AC Chair Car class and 2000 rupees for Exec. Chair Car (EC). The final ticket cost for Patna Ranchi Vande Bharat may get changed accordingly.
Patna Ranchi Vande Bharat Start Date
Vande Bharat Express train will start operating from Patna to Ranchi from the last week of April 2023. According to the information from various sources, the Vande Bharat train will be started on this route on 25 April 2023. Vande Bharat has been fully prepared for the operation of the train on this route.
