On Tuesday, August 1, 2023, a fresh Vande Bharat Express train set, scheduled for its inaugural journey on the Howrah-Patna route, arrived at Rajendra Nagar Coaching Terminal in Patna. This new train configuration consists of eight contemporary coaches, featuring two executive class coaches and six air-conditioned chair cars. The train had travelled from Chennai to reach its destination. Currently, all the Vande Bharat Train are manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) at Perambur, Chennai, under the Make in India initiative.

The trial run of the Patna to Howrah Vande Bharat Express train, scheduled to operate between Patna and Howrah, was successfully conducted on August 5, 2023. The railway authorities are strategically planning the schedule to accommodate passengers from both Patna and Howrah, allowing them to travel and return on the same day with ease. This initiative aims to establish the quickest rail connection between the capital of Bihar, Patna, and the city of Kolkata in West Bengal.

Patna To Howrah Vande Bharat Second Express Train Trail Run Date

The second trial run of the Vande Bharat Express, commencing its journey from Patna to Howrah, has commenced today. Following this trial run, the train’s fare and operational date will be determined. The trial run’s route has also been established. As per information from East Central Railway officials, the train’s route will take it through Patna, Mokama, Lakhisarai, Kiul, and Jasidih, ultimately reaching Howrah. However, the final schedule will be confirmed once the fare is established and the precise commencement date is announced.

When Will Patna To Howrah Vande Bharat Express Train Start?

The Patna-Howrah Vande Bharat Express in Bihar will make stops at four stations, whereas in West Bengal, it will have only one station stop. The Zonal Railways are currently awaiting central instructions regarding the official opening date of the service.
