The South Central Railway (SCR) is preparing to introduce the Telangana Third Vande Bharat Express train between Kacheguda in Hyderabad and Yeswantpur in Bangalore next week.
On January 15, 2023, Telangana’s inaugural Vande Bharat Express commenced its service between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam. This launch marked a significant milestone as it also became the first Vande Bharat Express for the state of Andhra Pradesh. The train, identified by the numbers 20833/20834, operates six days a week.
Spanning a distance of 699 km, the train completes its journey in a travel time of 8 hours and 30 minutes, achieving an average speed of 82 km/h. This Vande Bharat Train makes scheduled stops at Samalkot Junction, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada Junction, Khammam, and Warangal along its route between Secunderabad Junction and Visakhapatnam Junction.
Teleangana’s second Vande Bharat Express train was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 8 April 2023 between Secunderabad and Tirupati. The 20701/20702 Secunderabad Tirupati Vande Bharat Express currently has 14 AC Chair Car and 2 Executive Chair Cars coaches. This Vande Bharat Train covers a distance of 662 km in a travel time of 8 hrs 15 mins with an average speed of 80 km/h. The Vande Bharat Express has two stoppages in Telangana and four stoppages in Andhra Pradesh.
