On January 15, 2023, Telangana’s inaugural Vande Bharat Express commenced its service between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam. This launch marked a significant milestone as it also became the first Vande Bharat Express for the state of Andhra Pradesh. Spanning a distance of 699 km, the train completes its journey in a travel time of 8 hours and 30 minutes, achieving an average speed of 82 km/h. This Vande Bharat Train makes scheduled stops at Samalkot Junction, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada Junction, Khammam, and Warangal along its route between Secunderabad Junction and Visakhapatnam Junction.
