The 18th G20 Summit is set to convene in New Delhi from September 8 to 10, hosting over 25 global leaders and numerous delegates at the prestigious Pragati Maidan venue. Stringent security and logistical measures are in effect, closely regulating all entry points near the newly constructed Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre. Traffic management strategies have been implemented to ensure hassle-free travel for residents.

Delhi Traffic Police has issued a comprehensive advisory to assist citizens during the summit, clarifying that there won’t be any lockdown. Essential services, including grocery stores, medical facilities, and shops selling fruits, vegetables, and milk, will operate as usual.

List Of Things Will Be Closed In Delhi During G20

1. Schools and Colleges

One of the most important things will be closed in Delhi during G20 is schools and colleges. All schools and colleges will be closed in Delhi from 8 to 10 September 2023.

2. Market and Mall

Most of the markets and malls will be closed during the G20. Residents within the area will have regular entry and exit privileges, whereas individuals from outside the region will require special passes for access.

3. Delhi Metro

Delhi Metro services will be affected at the Supreme Court metro station only. Metro services will continue at all other stations. At some metro stations, entry and exit may be closed for 10-15 minutes as per the security rules, but train services will continue

4. Banks

All the commercial banks will be closed in Delhi During the G20.

5. Courts

All kinds of jurisdiction of the New Delhi Police District will be closed. The Supreme Court too will remain closed.

6. Government and Private Office

Most Government and Private Offices will be closed during the G20 in Delhi. Many private companies have provided the work from home.

7. Goods Vehicles

Other important things will be closed in Delhi during G20 is the movement of goods vehicles. Heavy and light goods vehicles will not be allowed to enter Delhi, whereas those carrying essential commodities like fruits, milk, vegetables, and medical supplies will be allowed to enter into Delhi.

8. Cloud Kitchens and Food Deliveries

All kinds of Cloud kitchens and food deliveries will not be allowed between 8 and 10 September.

9. Home Delivery Products

Things will be closed in Delhi during G20 is home delivery of products purchases online. There will be no delivery from Flipkart, Amazon etc
