Number of Vande Bharat trains is increasing day by day in India. In April 2023, five Vande Bharat Express, Rani Kamalapati (Habibganj) – Hazrat Nizamuddin Vande Bharat Express, Secunderabad – Tirupati Vande Bharat Express, MGR Chennai Central – Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express, Delhi Cantonment – Ajmer Vande Bharat Express and Kasaragod – Thiruvananthapuram Vande Bharat Express were started.
In May 2023, two Vande Bharat Express, Howrah – Puri Vande Bharat Express and Anand Vihar Terminal – Dehradun Vande Bharat Express, were started. In June 2023, five Vande Bharat, Mumbai CSMT – Madgaon Vande Bharat Express, Patna – Ranchi Vande Bharat Express, KSR Bengaluru – Dharwad Vande Bharat Express, Rani Kamalapati (Habibganj) – Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express and Indore – Bhopal Vande Bharat Express were started. In July 2023, two Vande Bharat, Jodhpur – Sabarmati (Ahmedabad) Vande Bharat Express and Gorakhpur – Lucknow Charbagh Vande Bharat Express were started.
List of Upcoming Vande Bharat Express in August 2023
1. Patna Howrah Vande Bharat Express
The Patna-Howrah Vande Bharat train is set to become the inaugural Vande Bharat train linking Bihar and West Bengal. Covering a total distance of 535 km between Patna and Howrah Junction, the Patna-Howrah Vande Bharat ticket prices are estimated to be around 1450 rupees for a single journey in AC Chair Car class and 2650 rupees for Exec. Chair Car (EC).
2. Chennai Central Vijayawada Vande Bharat Express
The Chennai Central Vijayawada Vande Bharat Express is poised to impact railway connectivity in Andhra Pradesh significantly. Covering a distance of 431 km while travelling between Chennai and Vijayawada, this train’s route will commence from Chennai Central and halt at Gudur Junction, Nellore, Ongole, Tenali Junction, and Vijayawada Junction, enhancing transportation links along the way.
3. Kacheguda Yesvantpur Vande Bharat Express
The Kacheguda Yesvantpur Vande Bharat Express train is designed to connect the capitals of Karnataka and Telangana, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, respectively. It stands as Telangana’s third semi-high-speed Vande Bharat Express train. Covering a distance of 615 km between Hyderabad and Bangalore, the Kacheguda Yesvantpur Vande Bharat Express achieves this journey in just 6 hours. The train stops at Sedam, Raichur Junction, and Guntakal Junction, providing seamless connectivity between Hyderabad and Bangalore.
4. Tirunelveli Chennai Egmore Vande Bharat Express
The Chennai Tirunelveli Vande Bharat Express route spans 652 km, connecting Chennai to Tirunelveli. The train stops at Villupuram Junction, Tiruchchirapli Junction, Madurai Junction, and Virudhunagar Junction between Chennai and Tirunelveli. The Chennai Tirunelveli Vande Bharat Express ticket prices are expected to be approximately 1625 rupees for a single journey in AC Chair Car class and 2815 rupees for Exec. Chair Car (EC).
