The Amrit Bharat Express is designed and manufactured in Chittaranjan Locomotive Works which is located at Chittaranjan in the Asansol Sadar subdivision of West Bengal. Chittaranjan Locomotive Works is one of the largest locomotive manufacturers in the world.

Darbhanga Delhi Amrit Bharat Express route will cover a distance of 1167 km between Darbhanga and New Delhi. This train route will connect the highly population-density districts of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Currently, only three trains run on the Darbhanga Delhi railway route and only one train, Bihar S Kranti, has a source station in Darbhanga.

Darbhanga Delhi Amrit Bharat Express will stop at Samastipur Junction, Muzaffarpur Junction, Hajipur Junction, Sonpur Junction, Chhapra, Siwan Junction, Gorakhpur Junction, Badshahnagar, Aishbagh and Kanpur Central between Darbhanga and New Delhi. The train will stop at 12 stations, out of which 7 stops will be in Bihar, 4 stoppages will be in Uttar Pradesh and one stop will be in New Delhi.
