Delhi Kashmir Vande Bharat Likely To Start on 15 August 2024
The Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link Project (USBRL) is completed, and the Delhi Kashmir Vande Bharat Express train between Srinagar and New Delhi will soon start.
Out of the total 272 km of the USBRL project, 209 km have been completed in phases. The first phase, covering 118 km from Qazigund to Baramulla, was finished in October 2009. Next, the 18 km stretch from Banihal to Qazigund was completed in June 2013. Then, 25 km from Udhampur to Katra was finished in July 2014. Most recently, the 48.1 km stretch from Banihal to Sangaldan was completed in February this year.
